Cultural Passport

What is the Cultural Passport?
A brainchild of the Cultural Plan Education Committee, the Cultural Passport program concept is designed to meet the following Cultural Plan education goals: To “Engage children, teens, and young adults more fully in the cultural life of the Lafayette/West Lafayette community,” and; “Build a broader and deeper county-wide audience for arts and culture of all kinds.”

In this program, each participant receives a “Cultural Passport” (folded/stapled booklet) and an Activities and Events sheet to find out what Cultural Passport activities are available and where. For each activity they participate in, they receive a stamp. The more stamps the participant earns, the greater the prize they receive.

The Cultural Plan Education Committee is excited to work with Miami Elementary’s 3rd grade students, teachers, and parents during our pilot phase! A special thanks to Matt Rhoda, principal, for his enthusiasm and support.

The following organizations are current program participants in alphabetical order: Art Museum of Greater Lafayette, Civic Theater of Greater Lafayette, Ivy Tech Community College in partnership with Tippecanoe County Public Library, Lafayette Symphony Orchestra, Purdue Convocations, Purdue Galleries, Tippecanoe Arts Federation, and the West Lafayette Public Library
