Location: Best Western Brandywine Reception & Meeting Center, 304 S. 6th St., Monticello, IN., 47960 Join us for Hoosier Artland for Economic Growth 2015! This conference provides resources and information to community leadership and individuals seeking to leverage the arts in order to build community and economic development. Arts track and government track sessions will cover topics such as rural demography, identifying community stakeholders in the arts, rural affairs programs across Indiana, creative place-making, arts marketing, and Indiana arts organization successes. The keynote talk will be given by Sue Ellspermann, Lieutenant Governor of Indiana. Other speakers include Ken Houston, Mayor of Monticello; Drew Klacik, Senior Policy Analyst at Indiana University Public Policy Institute; Colette Griffin, Project Manager at Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs; Sharon Canaday, Associate Director of Economic and Community Development at Building Better Communities, Ball State University, and many more! Lunch and refreshments will be served. Activities across Monticello will follow the conference, including band performances and an optional winery tour.
