The historic 15,000 sq. ft. Classical Revival Mansion houses an extraordinary collection of Indiana art including paintings, ceramics, bronze and stone sculptures, and an array of American furniture and antiques. 

The Museum building was the Connecticut State Building at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.  It was moved to Lafayette at the close of the fair and purchased by the Haans in 1984.

Museum Grounds:

  • Nature Trail:  One mile trail with 30 species of identified and labeled native Indiana trees.
  • Sculpture Garden:  Features over 20 sculptures placed along a .2 mile wheelchair accessible path.
  • Mountain Bike Trail:  Intermediate and advanced 7 miles out and back.
